Diversity in the USA
USA has been known to be one of the most diverse countries in the world . In the United States, you find all colors, all ethnicities, all religions, and it is the home of almost everyone. However, upon the election of Trump as the president-elect to the United States, it seems that issues start to change. International students who came from different regions around the world to seek knowledge in this advanced country seem to fear the public. More than a few incidents of racism have been reported upon announcing the winning of Trump. Some people seem not to be ineterested in the existence of international students and immigrant s. They seem to reject diversity , and they prefer not only assimilation but also homogeneity. Will these incidents and threats change the way international students feel towards their institution s and public spaces in the United States? Will these students keep going to public places such as mall, department stores, and restaurants with the same feeling of safety and comfort as they used to before? With the interview that I seek in this website project, we will know.
